Wilma was born in Edinburgh and brought up in the West Midlands, she has lived in Monmouthshire in SE Wales since 1989. Her home and place of business is called “The Cottage”. It has been a pottery and Wilma now hosts clients there, for a very different coaching experience.
In 1984-1988 she travelled around the world overland on a motorbike with her husband at the time, she says it taught her some amazing life skills. Resilience and resourceful thinking, to look at possibilities, there is always a way and
right thoughts equal right results. To be able to rearrange habitual thought patterns ensuring optimum outcomes.
Wilma then became a self-taught professional potter selling and exhibiting pieces around the UK – living and working at the cottage in Monmouthshire alone for 7 years, 5 years with no electricity. As well as making pots she also spent time taking photographs, another of her passions. This experience gave her an intimate understanding of the unique experience of spending time alone.
As well as pot making and photography, Wilma can be found in her garden and walking or even running in the Black Mountains, riding horses, practicing qigong and laughing.
Wilma has had a very varied career, including Hill farming sheep in the Black Mountains, collecting and dropping off children around rural Herefordshire on a 52-seater school bus. Hospitality business, as her cottage has been a holiday cottage for over 20 years, a single parent and finally a Coach and Mentor.
Wilma trained as a personal performance coach with The Coaching Academy and has offered a number of specific courses over the years.
It’s not surprising that all of the above has helped Wilma develop a strong understanding of:
- The capacity to reinvent ourselves whenever life circumstances make it necessary
- Persistence
- Resourcefulness
- Resilience
- The power of choice
- Empathy
- Awareness
- Compassion
- Deep Listening
- Determination
We are truly delighted to have such a resourceful mentor on board and with an amazing life experience to draw upon.
