The competencies are referred to in the Competency Levels page. At each ‘ higher’ level, the mentors should have greater breadth and depth of knowledge; greater synthesis of ideas; ability to invoke more significant insights; working effectively with increasingly complex issues and contexts and, at higher levels, the creation of a coherent approach to mentoring. This applies to each of the competency areas set out below.
