Level 3 Mentoring Skills align with level three on the competency framework view here. providing an opportunity to take a deeper dive into the skills required to take you mentoring to the next level. It also offers other training opportunities such as coaching as a manager, and presentation skills. Topics that not everyone has experience in, but they are invaluable skills which will aid us to expand the compass of our work with our mentees.
The training takes place on line and with still smaller groups than level 2, to maximise on everyone’s experience. Work takes place together and in breakout groups. We believe there is real value in our community training together and there is much we can learn from each other. Practising our skills together allows us to have time to reflect on that practice, and understand the value of reflection.
At some point in the future we plan to hold some of these training sessions at a venue, which will allow us to increase the group size and incorporate more networking into the day. In todays world we recognise that the world has got smaller, so there will always be a place for on line training, making it more accessible and cost effective for all our members.
